Vivienne Westwood: The Signature Styles
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past fifty years, you’re bound to have heard of fashion designer, Vivienne Westwood. Influenced by the punk movement in the early eighties and always daring to be different, over the years, Dame Westwood has managed to create a strong brand image based around several signature styles. Here at Repertoire, we stock the Vivienne Westwood Man and Anglomania ranges, all of which exhibit the aforementioned signature trends.
The obvious signature of Vivienne Westwood would be the classic orb logo, often seen embroidered on the chest of a polo shirt or carefully engraved onto the front of a leather bag, the orb is the most pronounced indication of a Westwood design.
Logos aside, another classic signature style from the Vivienne Westwood Anglomania collection is the gathered, draping fabric often seen in her dresses and jersey tops. Some of our most popular pieces are the Vivienne Westwood drape dress and the draped fabric tops, each season the style is the same but the colour and print changes.
Tartan is one of Vivienne Westwood’s signature prints in both the men’s and women’s collections. The dark navy and blue tartan print is one of her most popular patterns in the Vivienne Westwood Man collection, featured on shirts (see above), suit jackets and trousers. The men’s and women’s accessories ranges also showcase a lot of plaid, whether it be a blue and purple print business bag for the men, or a classic red tartan print on a ladies handbag.
Our Vivienne Westwood ranges are currently up to 60% off in our huge winter sale, so shop the signature styles whilst they’re still in stock!
